Process and plant concept based on immobilised catalases for the energy-efficient application of disinfectants in process water treatment for the pharmaceutical industry

Since January 2019, G.E.O.S. has been working with its partners UMEX GmbH Dresden (project coordinator), Institute of Biochemistry University of Leipzig and Institute of Genetics Technical University of Dresden on the development of a novel concept for the energy-efficient catalytic decomposition of disinfectants (hydrogen peroxide, ozone) in the process water treatment for the pharmaceutical industry. The focus of G.E.O.S.'s work is the numerical simulation of the complex coupled flow and catalytic reaction processes in the pilot reactor as a basis for its optimisation.
