G.E.O.S. promotes AI deployment in Nepal: training courses and lectures boost partnership

As part of the project "Development of a landslide warning system in Nepal using artificial intelligence", G.E.O.S. organised a series of training courses for employees of the Department of Mines and Geology (DMG) during the last week of November 2023. The training covered the use of the Google Earth Engine and airborne remote sensing for landslide detection.

In addition, the G.E.O.S. team gave lectures at Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu on the application of artificial intelligence for the management of geodata.

Thanks to the Nepalese colleagues for the warm welcome! The next trip to Nepal is planned for March 2024.
