Facilitation of the deep geothermal project Rupertiwinkel

The aim of the Geothermie Rupertiwinkel project is to generate clean renewable electricity and heat by using the geothermal energy stored deep in the depth. Rupertiwinkel is located in the south-easternmost part of Bavaria, between Lake Chiemsee and Lake Königssee. The energy from geothermal energy is available to the people in the area around the clock, regardless of the weather.

G.E.O.S. started out in the project by conducting the pre-feasibility study. Based on this study, G.E.O.S. carried out a complex feasibility study for a deep geothermal doublet. This was later extended to a double doublet.

While the initial aim was to supply the city of Salzburg with geothermal heat, the project was later focused on electrical power generation. In addition, a local heating supply for the surrounding communities was planned.

Since then, the entire project has been continuously accompanied by G.E.O.S. through the provision of extensive services.
