Information system for water management facilities and water body mapping

The G.E.O.S. branch office WISUTEC implemented the AL.VIS/Objects software application for the management of data for hydro engineering and flood protection facilities as well as for the data management of water resources in the intranet of the Thuringian State Office for the Environment, Mining and Nature Conservation.

The applications are integrated in AL.VIS/WebDesktop and use the built-in map display as well as user and rights management. Authentication takes place via the secure OpenIdConnect standard. The AL.VIS/Images application is used to manage the extensive photo database of water structure data.

Services

Phase 1:

• Concept a catalogue for hydraulic engineering objects and flood protection facilities with selection of object types, their structure and properties
• Licensing of AL.VIS/Objects for the Thuringian State Office for the Environment, Mining and Nature Conservation.
• Import of existing data
• User training

Phase 2:

• Development of an interface for data migration of the recorded water quality parameters at the respective watercourse sections
• Setting up a structure in the AL.VIS/Objects data model to store the water quality parameters at specified sections
• Import of the captured photos into the photo database
• Implementation of the search functions
• Provision of a web GIS solution for visualisation
• User training
